Cans
Spec Ad
Cans is a fake commercial (spec ad) for a pair of headphones.
In this project, we set out to create an inner-world type of environment where the ethereal meets the physical.
Using X-Particles to slowly release floating, rotating, reflective cubes from the sunken design elements of the headphones adds to a sense of inner space.
With the cuboid particles looking good in the intro and the top macro shots, we found that rotating the world (camera and lights), instead of the headphones themselves, allowed us to achieve the slow reveal we were after without disturbing the particles.
X-Particles Explosia, emanating from a spline circle was used for the final shot.
